Changing Seasons
This classic triangular lace shawl is knitted outwards from a garter tab cast on. The pattern could be
knitted in one colour using a sportweight or a light DK yarn, but here I had fun with colour combining
two laceweight yarns, holding strands double to create a colour change and marl effect so that the
leaves turn colour from spring at the top to autumn at the edging.
Go for the same seasonal change or find two laceweights that you love and create your own colour
transition.
The sample was knitted in John Arbon Alpaca 2-3ply (90% Alpaca / 10% Nylon,
600m/100g) 1x100g Pea Green and 1x 100g Clementine.
Jamieson & Smith 3ply Lace weight would also work well for this pattern.
