Madonna Studs – Upcycled Aluminum with Stainless Steel Implant

Handmade with care, these Madonna Studs are modeled in CAD (based on a lovely marble statue Venus de Milo) and then 3D-printed to create molds for sand casting. By adjusting the print layer height, I captured just the right amount of texture while preserving the clean form of the design. The result is a pair of earrings that balance modern digital design with the organic unpredictability of traditional casting, reminiscent of cuttlefish casting.
