The Weight of the City

The Weight of the City Between Two Worlds Collection

A bowed woman carries a skyline within her head, surrounded by trees, falling paint and small bursts of orange. The world around her is vast, yet the heaviest part seems to live inside her.

The Weight of the City explores the invisible burdens we carry: memories, expectations and the exhaustion of trying to survive while life continues around us. Shaped by lived experience, it speaks to the times when even standing still takes strength.

The trees offer a sense of quiet beyond the noise. Against the dark silhouette, orange breaks through like a stubborn flicker of warmth—a reminder that feeling weighed down does not mean our light has gone.

Part of the Between Two Worlds Collection, this piece explores the distance between the life we have known and the peace we are learning to find.
