These mitts are knit in the round using an intarsia in the round technique. Don't love instarsia? Knit the mitts plain and duplicate stitch the bones on.
Ribbing the full length of the cuff provides enough stretch and shaping to keep these elbow-length gloves in place, even during the most diabolical of snowball fights.
Sizes:
Small (Medium, Large) to fit 7(8,9)” / 18(20, 23)cm hand circumference.
The ribbing on the cuff will accommodate a large range of sizes.
Yarn:
Color A: 100 grams/250 yards of a DK weight yarn
Color B: 50 grams/125 yards of a DK weight yarn
This pattern is sized for adults. To adjust them for child sizes, leave out the wrist chart or shorten the arm or finger charts and cast on fewer stitches between the row marker and side marker.
Gauge:
5.5 sts on US 4/3.5mm
Needle and Notions:
US 4/3.5mm 32” circular needles for magic loop or size needed to match gauge
