Leni's Korean Language Notes (Beginner to Intermediate)

Not to toot my own horn (okay, maybe I am), but I had mastered the basics of Korean (hangul, survival Korean, and basic grammar) in the few months within coming to Korea ALL THROUGH SELF-STUDY. Having done so, I was able to engage Korean people in conversation much easier when I went to Korea, and gradually build on my knowledge of the language from there. Now, I'm a TOPIK Level 5 (Advanced in Korean)!

People say I'm a "language genius", but I honestly had to work hard for my knowledge. I studied 4 hours, every day without fail, for 3 or 4 months straight. (But now, YOU don't have to! 😉) These are the notes that I put together in that time...and I hope it helps you on your way to mastering Korean, too! :)

• Hangul, the Korean alphabet - including my tips & tricks on pronounciation (i.e. which sounds change when placed in front of certain letters)
• Useful expressions and vocabulary for survival in Korea!
• Grammar (making it easy)
• Numbers and time-telling
• How to use informal (반말), polite, and honorific (존댓말) properly in Korean
• Conjugations - how to change the endings on words according to tense, honorific, etc. (one of the things that are hardest to learn)
