This is a PDF file for a recipe for a knitted piece. It can be as small as a scarf, like the one pictured or it can be as large as a blanket or somewhere in between, you choose.
The piece in the pictures and from which I wrote the recipe was made of a single yarn, that is 100% alpaca. It was hand spun by me and is very thin. I worked the scarf on US knitting needles size 2. I used about 450 yards of yarn total, about 18g. It is a feather light piece worked in this manner.
The recipe uses Orenburg constructionand only knit stitches, except for closing the nupps. There are charts for the edging, border and center. The center is where you can repeat and increase to get a larger piece. Have fun and experiment. If you need help choosing a needle to go with your yarn, please ask. Any other questions are welcome as well!
