Spring Leaves

This is PDF knitting pattern for a traditional Estonian scarf.  It is made using charts and some written help. The center is worked first. The edging is knitted in two identical pieces and then sewn on. When blocked the points make a scalloped edging.  I have worked this pattern using a single yarn and a 2 ply.  Both worked up nicely.  See my Ravelry page for pictures.  For both pieces I used knitting needles in US sizes 3 and 5.  YOu will need about 1,450 yards of yarn to complete this piece.  The only nupps are in the edging and could be eliminated if you choose.  A good beginner lace piece, but will require some commitment.
