Grand Champion Shawl

Here is a PDF file for a knitting pattern for a shawl that I designed to enter into Elbert County fair in 2013.  As you can see it did well, hence the name.  This is a piece of American lace.  It has motifs from Orenburg, Estonia and Shetland with Orenburg construction.  I used a 2 ply lace weight 100% wool yarn.  2,460 yards of yarn and US knitting needles size 3.  The finished size is 60" by 60".  There are nupps in this piece that can be omitted or traded for beads if you desire.  I suggest doing the nupps or beads.  The entire piece is worked in knit, except closing the nupps and a few detail stitches on the spider's back.  If you have questions or need help, please ask.  This is a medium skill level lace knit piece using multiple charts at a time.
