Ever wondered what an army of ants sounds like up close? We did too. While recording in Australia, I clipped a contact mic to a piece of wood crawling with ants and what I recorded completely surprised me.

The ants were walking, biting, scratching, and exploring the contact microphone. The contact mic amplified their tiny movements into a gritty, detailed, and surprisingly rhythmic soundscape, exposing the hidden intensity of their world.

These recordings are raw, organic, and filled with micro-movement energy. Perfect for horror scenes, unsettling environments, or adding unique texture to your sound design projects, this library gives you a whole new perspective on what life sounds like from the ground up.
