WWI: The Global Conflict

WWI: The Global Conflict (Omnibus Edition) is a deeply immersive, choice-driven World War I simulation that places students inside the war from multiple perspectives. Rather than presenting the conflict as a list of causes and outcomes, the game forces players to live the war through decisions, uncertainty, and survival.

Students choose one of four interconnected paths: infantry soldier on the Western Front, fighter pilot in the early air war, naval commander enforcing the British blockade, or intelligence officer working in Room 40. Each path tells a complete, historically grounded story built from original narrative writing, primary-source style field reports, and embedded vocabulary.

The game blends long-form historical storytelling with interactive decision points and original arcade-style mini-games that represent real wartime challenges. Players charge across No Man’s Land under machine-gun fire, dogfight enemy aircraft, hunt U-boats with depth charges, and crack the Zimmermann Telegram using a Caesar cipher. Success requires attention, restraint, and historical reasoning. Failure leads to realistic consequences, including death, disgrace, or strategic collapse.

A built-in intelligence radio allows students to type key terms at any point and receive definitions, statistics, and short narrative reports without leaving the game. This keeps learning embedded inside gameplay rather than separated into notes or worksheets.
