Turn off your phone. Close the doors and windows. Dim the lights. Turn that volume up. Welcome to "Mocking the Muted."

This world never stops talking. People are mocked by the endless cacophony of social media, conspiracy theories, self-enriched leaders, fake AI, and endless wars. And for those who can control the noise, silence is a virtue. This album is a journey through that noise. Inspired by progressive rock bands from the mid-70s and early 80s like Pink Floyd and Genesis, "Mocking the Muted" tells the story of a world losing its humanity to ignorance, automation, and political spectacle. The album is divided into two parts.

Side A (The Noise) - Deals with the outside world: politics, drugs, and the "industry."

01 All That Is Left Of Me

Smartphones and screens capture our attention. They rob us of our awareness of the world around us and break friendships and relationships. What's left of me is a huge wall around me and an empty shell of my consciousness.

02 One Waltz

A way to banish the noise from your head is often concocted and encapsulated in the form of a pill. A dance floor and an evening of mindless music do the rest.

03 Answers

The more beautiful and simpler days of your childhood are over. And as you grow older, the memories you carry with you become an echo and a blur. They slowly fade. All we can do is keep moving forward and forget the past.

04 Well, Look at You

There are people who, consciously or unconsciously, control your life. They determine what you like and dislike, what you eat, who you love, and what music you listen to. And you follow the industry of cognitive dissonance. Insecurity and feelings of inferiority play a major role in your choices and decisions.

05 Fathers and Presidents

A world leader, like a father, is supposed to care for his people. He is supposed to treat them as if they were his own children. But he abandoned them, he turned around, and walked away for good. And Mother (Earth) begins to cry as she looks at an empty space on the wall. The picture of the man she loved is gone.

Side B (The Silence) - A darker, more introspective dive into the known and the unknown.

06 That's Why It's a Sin

A quote from the bestseller novel "To Catch a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee. A nod to the album title. In this instrumental track, you hear the irregular wave of noise and whistles being taken over by the clear song of a mockingbird. The noise is gone. Only order and silence remain.

07 Flesh

Everyone has a fraction of a monster inside them. The trick is to use that monster within yourself to do good. Destroy the things that turned you into this monster.

08 A Sailor's Tale

The world has been discovered, its stories have been told, and there is no magic or mystery left to seek. The sailor is stranded. He has nowhere left to go but to retreat into his own inner silence.

09 The Witness

From the perspective of a fly on the wall. A spy for things we'd never know. What does he see? What does he hear? What news can he bring us?

10 My Watch is Done

In the near future, there won't be much work left for us to do. Talent, expertise, and skills will be usurped by AI and modern technology. All we can do is lie on the floor, do nothing, and wait for them to clean us up.
