Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

NOTES

~ Cardigan is worked flat in pieces from the bottom up.

~ Finished chest measurements are an approximation. Actual chest circumference may differ slightly depending on how the front tie closures are tied.

For the contrast colour used for the intarsia design, we used Hinterland Watershed in colour Maple, over-dyed using Rit All Purpose Dye in colour Evening Blue. This is optional, and the intarsia will look equally as nice in the undyed Maple colour, or any of the other Hinterland shades.

~ Intarsia technique is used for charts. When changing to a new colour mid row, hold yarn to the left and pick up new colour from underneath, thus twisting the yarn to close up hole. Use small bobbins for each colour section except where the yarn can be carried over just a few stitches.

~ Charts are read from right to left on RS rows and left to right on WS rows and worked in stockinette stitch.
