The New American Dream (B2)

The main aim of this lesson is to bring the far-away American reality closer to your students, and most importantly – help them decide whether the American Dream is still a thing and whether it's still attainable for younger generations in specific.

• to discuss the concept of the American Dream and the changes it has undergone in the course of history (from economic outlook through digital innovation to morals and values)
• to enrich your students exposure to real-life language use and natural language delivery (through the choice of authentic resouces)
• to expand your students vocabulary range by more advanced words and phrases (e.g. disenfranchisement, to extol, perseverance, resemblance etc.)
