Julia specializes in teaching English as a foreign language, materials and item writing and ELT content editing (student's books and workbooks). As a language instructor, she's worked with clients from various professional backgrounds – from the world of business to academia.
Her teaching philosophy is based on the premise that effective language education should provide an autonomous, practical, inclusive and interdisciplinary learning experience. She places a strong focus on enabling smooth and effective communication in personal and professional contexts, which is reflected in her original teaching resources created to familiarize learners with a real-world use of the English language (by means of encouraging an interaction with authentic materials and resources) and to foster critical and problem-solving skills, essential to tackle the challenges of today's world.
In addition, she's a freelance writer and author, with articles published in Modern English Teacher, the IH Journal, IATEFL Voices, Humanising Language Teaching.
