I had the idea of change in my mind when I designed Rumo ao Sul Shawl: that’s how it grows, in small steps, once and then again, each motif is an evolution from the previous one, until the last row of the border.
The world is changing so fast I felt the need to work with those motifs once more. My mindset also changed so the result is something else: a cowl.
Rumo ao Sul Cowl with its asymmetric construction, is warm and comfy, very easy to style. It will become a favourite accessory for you to wear on winter days.

Yarn: Dyed by Alfinete Sueste, Malabrigo Arroyo 1 skeins; or: about 300 to 350 (yds) of your favourite sport weight yarn
Size: 34 cm (13,4”) circumference at the top and 41 cm (16,1”) at the bottom; height: 48 cm (18,9”)
Needles: 4,5 mm / US 7 (or other to obtain gauge)
Gauge : 34 rows and 19 sts = 10 cm x 10 cm / 4” x 4” (stockinette stitch, relaxed after blocking)
Notions: Clip on stitch markers, tapestry needle, blocking wires and pins
