CHARACTERIZATION, INSECTICIDAL AND MOSQUITO REPELLENCY PROPERTIES OF ESSENTIAL OILS FROM HYPTIS SUAVEOLENS LEAVES
This study investigates the chemical composition and biological activities of essential oils extracted from Hyptis suaveolens leaves, focusing on their insecticidal and mosquito-repelling properties. The effect of the essential oils against mosquito larvae (larvicidal), mosquito repellency effect and physicochemical properties were determined using standard methods. Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GCMS) and Fourier Transform Infra-Red (FTIR) were both done on the essential oils. This research consists of a title page, approval page, certification, abstract, table of content, list of tables, list o figures, list of appendices, list of abbreviations, Chapters One to Five (from introduction to conclusion), references, and appendices.
