C++ OOP Projects Pack: 5 Complete Projects
Five complete, well-structured C++17 console projects to study, run and extend: a library management system, a bank (abstract Account, polymorphism, exceptions), a student grade manager (STL vector, map, algorithms), an inventory and point-of-sale (operator overloading, receipts, stock alerts) and a tic-tac-toe game with an unbeatable minimax AI. Each project has headers, sources, sample data, a README with a UML class diagram and extension ideas, and unit tests (74 tests, run by ctest). Includes a 23-page PDF guide with design notes, code walkthroughs and exercises. Builds with zero warnings. For learning and reference. Instant download.
Learn object-oriented C++ from real programs, not toy snippets.
Most OOP tutorials stop at class Dog : public Animal. Real understanding comes from programs big enough to need design decisions: where does this rule live, who owns this object, what happens when it fails. This pack gives you five complete projects that you can read in an evening, run immediately and extend with confidence, because every rule is covered by tests.
WHAT'S INSIDE: 5 PROJECTS
• (1) Library Management System: Book, Member, Loan and Library classes, a Date value type with operator overloading, search, 14-day loans, late fines with a cap, a member loan limit, and CSV persistence.
• (2) Bank Account System: an abstract Account with SavingsAccount and CheckingAccount, polymorphism through unique_ptr<Account>, the template-method pattern, a custom exception hierarchy, transaction history, monthly interest, overdraft and fees, all-or-nothing transfers.
• (3) Student Grade Manager: STL vector, map and <algorithm>; weighted categories, GPA by credit hours, ranking with shared ranks for ties, course statistics (mean, median, standard deviation) and CSV report export.
• (4) Inventory & Point-of-Sale: a complete Money class (all arithmetic and comparison operators, <<), cart with discount and tax, all-or-nothing checkout, receipts printed to text files, low-stock alerts.
• (5) Tic-Tac-Toe with an unbeatable AI: minimax with alpha-beta pruning, a clean Board class, a Player interface (human, random, AI), a game loop and a scoreboard. The AI is proven never to lose by a test that plays every possible game.
ALSO INCLUDED
• 74 unit tests (about 360 checks) using a small self-written framework you can read in five minutes; ctest runs all five suites
• PDF study guide (23 pages): design reasoning, OOP concepts, code walkthroughs, exercises per project, an OOP concept index, testing tips and a four-week study plan
• UML class diagram (Mermaid and PNG) for every project
• Top-level CMake project that builds everything; sample data for every app
• Console menus that work on Windows, Linux and macOS (no conio.h, no system("cls")) and can also be driven by piped input
QUALITY
• C++17, compiled with -Wall -Wextra -Wpedantic: zero warnings (also verified with -Werror)
• RAII everywhere: no raw new / delete, smart pointers where ownership is needed
• const-correct, header/source separation, one class per header
• Money is stored as integer cents, never floating point
• Tests cover the rules, the boundaries and the failure paths (a refused operation must change nothing)
WHO IT IS FOR
• Students in a C++ / object-oriented programming course who want complete examples to study
• Self-taught programmers moving from syntax to design
• Anyone who wants to practise extending a codebase safely, with tests and exercises
YOU WILL RECEIVE
One zip file (CPP_OOP_Projects_Pack.zip, about 1.4 MB) containing the full source code (headers, sources, sample data, tests), the top-level CMakeLists.txt, README.md, LICENSE.txt and docs/Guide.pdf.
PLEASE NOTE
• This is a digital product (source code and PDF). Nothing is shipped.
• Intended for learning and reference. Please follow your course's academic-integrity rules; do not submit the code as your own work where that is not allowed.
• Personal / educational single-user license: no redistribution, resale or public posting. See LICENSE.txt.
• Developed and tested with GCC 16.2 (MinGW-w64) and CMake 4.4 on Windows 11. The code is standard C++17 and should build with other compilers, but only that setup was tested.
• The banking and point-of-sale programs are teaching examples, not real financial software.
• Console applications only (no graphical interface).
