Fresh Metatarsal Fracture put in Split Plaster SLC (Austria)
Male Cast Sighting 2025.
HOPPING INTO HOSPITAL BAREFOOT WITH A FRESH FRACTURE...TREATED IN CAST ROOM
This man apparently had an accident at work just a few minutes earlier. He's obviously unable to walk due to the pain and hops on one leg to the hospital for initial treatment.
What we can't see in the video: his metatarsal is severely swollen and has already taken on a slightly bluish hue. That's a good sign, and we can guess the treatment that awaits him.
Appearances weren't deceiving. After an X-ray and a bit of waiting, we see him in front of the plaster room – still in his wheelchair, but already wearing a fresh cast. It's a split SLC cast made from plaster with the toe area well enclosed.
We examine the cast from almost all angles. Then he's wheeled to the follow-up CT scan. We watch him for a while as he's wheeled back.
