Weathering The Storm of Anxiety - Guided Meditation
For when you find yourself caught in the rising weather of an anxious mind — the racing thoughts, the tight chest, the body bracing for something it cannot quite name.
Anxiety is fast. It pulls you out of the present and into a future that has not yet arrived, and may never. It convinces you that bracing is the same thing as preparing, that vigilance is the same thing as safety, that you can think your way out of weather. But you cannot. What you can do is learn to weather it — to find shelter in your own body while the storm moves through.
This guided embodiment practice walks you through three quiet movements: standing on solid ground while the weather rushes past, recognizing that the storm you’re in has been weathered by every other anxious human who has ever lived, and trading the brace for a shelter your own hand can build. The practice draws on grounding, common humanity, and self-compassion, with body-based attention throughout.
Best for: acute anxiety, anticipatory worry, three-in-the-morning spirals, or any time the future feels closer and louder than the present moment.
Format: Single audio recording, approximately 20 minutes. Listen anywhere you can be still — seated, lying down, or even standing.
