ESTIMATING SOCCER GOAT USING RULE-BASED TECHNIQUE

This research focuses on developing a rule-based system to determine the Greatest of All Time (GOAT) in soccer by applying logical criteria and measurable performance indicators. The study obtains a list of most important performance metrics for each of the four playing positions which approximate the attributes considered by the experts for assigning ratings. The project demonstrates how rule-based techniques can simulate human reasoning to produce fair, transparent, and data-driven evaluations of soccer players’ greatness.
