- Notes from the Artist: As an artist, I am inspired by the movement of nature. Capturing that movement in a still-life became my challenge for“Global Meltdown” and “Weeping Beauty”. The beauty of flowers is perfect and even serene. Using painting techniques in-camera to create a juxtaposition of still-life perfection and nature’s movement, I wanted to disrupt the serenity of the florals. As a result, the composition shows a sense of vulnerability in its perfection. The movement that is created in the still-life shows nature is perfect even in its imperfection.
