Tobie Tortoise is a 'Sedgefield Local' who decides, one day, to take an adventure, visiting towns along the Garden Route, South Africa. The story sees Tobie make a number of friends along his journey, and captures the essence of each town. It serves as a 'take home' book for folk who visit our region on holiday.

Accompanying the book is a black and white activity book 'for restless little travellers', which can be purchased here separately, or along with the full colour story as a bundle.

The story began as a black and white colouring book for kids in 2010, but was updated to colour and lengthened by the addition of the activity book.

The illustrations for the story were drawn by hand, by Carly van Heerden, then coloured by Gemini.

Carly also created the activities from scratch, making them unique, original and targeted at early learners.
