Tiny Toots First Flute Book - Pre-Reader
Created for teachers working with nuvo TooTs and small children, this book was designed to help your tiniest pre-music-reading students start playing familiar songs from their very first lessons.
The book includes 11 songs, beginning with the first lesson's 3-note "Hot Cross Buns" and gradually working up to the more challenging "Pop! Goes the Weasel"!
The pieces stay within the easy range of the TooT and are all in C major, keeping to the fingerings that are consistent with the silver flute to facilitate an easy transition when your students are ready.
Notes are colour-coded, large format and easy to recognize for your mini flutists, and the lyrics to all the songs are included so you can sing them together first!

Containing the same pieces as our Tiny Toots: First Flute Book (Pre-Reading) book, you can use the books together, or follow the Pre-Reading book with the Full Notation book to ease the transition to note reading.

Created for teachers who want to help their nuvo TooT students' parents help their kids between lessons, this book is a parent help book designed to accompany the Tiny TooTs: First Flute Book (Pre-Reading).
The book covers the 11 songs from the Pre-Reading book, and works with the same colour-coded, large-format notes, but replaces the lyrics with fingering diagrams so parents can play along or help out if the student gets stuck between lessons.
This is a great resource for students who have trouble remembering their fingerings, too!
Also included is a legend to help even non-musician parents help their TooT-playing children practise.
Tiny Toot Notes Worksheet Collection
Designed to support the materials found in our Tiny Toots First Flute Book, Tiny Toots Pre-Reading First Flute Book and the First Flute Goals (Toot Technique Level One) these worksheets can also be used to reinforce notes learned in other methods for any treble instrument.
With a simple, clear, colourful layout, the collection of 18 different worksheets covers one octave of notes (treble staff C1-C2). Starting with single note practice, the collection moves on to sheets reinforcing the notes from each of the pieces in the Tiny Toots First Flute Books.
A great way to give tiny students more practice recognizing notes on the staff in a Toot-friendly format!
First Flute Goals: Tiny Toot Technique
Get your TooT students in the habit of working on technique from the very start with these scale sheets designed especially for nuvo TooTs & tiny kids! With bright colours and extra-large notes, these scales are easy to process and short enough to keep 5 & 6 year olds engaged. The added incentive of a smiley face to colour in or put a sticker on when they conquer a line helps, too!
This download includes two sheets of four-note scale patterns (ascending and descending) that work with the nuvo TooT fingerings and range, and has notation for both pre-readers and music notation readers. Notes are colour-coded to match the flower notes our students are familiar with from the Flower Note Set and the Tiny Toots First Flute Books (Pre-Reading & Reading) and our TooTal Recall fingering game (downloadable version).
In our Studio, we have a fantastic wall mural so the students can keep track of all the levels they've completed. They are so proud of themselves when they're ready to level up!
