Pythagorean Theorem Around the Clock Partner Activity | Scavenger Hunt | Google Slides
Practice the Pythagorean Theorem with this Google Slides partner scavenger hunt activity. Students use movable digital pieces to place answers in the correct spots around the clock.
The digital format is a great option for adding technology to your classroom and can be used on a laptop, PC, tablet, or phone with access to a free Google account.
Please note: Teachers and students will need a free Google account to access and use this Google Slides activity. A sign-up link is included in the document if needed.
Students work in pairs, and each partner has their own clock with 12 unique Pythagorean Theorem problems. Each partner’s problems are different, but the answers and placement on the clock are the same. This gives partners a chance to compare answers, discuss their work, and help each other find mistakes if their answers do not match.
The around-the-clock format gives students a self-checking way to practice. If partners disagree on an answer, they can look at each other’s work, talk through the steps, and correct errors before continuing through the activity.
Teacher directions with pictures are included to help you access and assign the Google Slides activity. Please note that the slides are not editable and are set to “Can View” only.
