This is a pdf file download for a knitting pattern.
This is a knit pattern for a shawl or a shawl vest. You can choose not to do the armholes and just have a shawl.
The construction isn't that unusual but does take some thinking through when doing the measurements and adding the armholes. The pattern contains all the math and a schematic to help you along the way. Sara, the designer offers full pattern support for her designs, so please ask her for help if you need to.
The sample was made using fingering weight yarn.
There will be a crochet version coming in 2023!

The sample was made using fingering weight 100% wool from
Dragonfly Fibers. 229yds / 210m to 50g for the 5 contrasting colors
and 2 balls 459yds / 420m to 100g of the main color.
Needles
US 6 / 4mm 24” circular
Notions
Progress keeper to mark the right side of work.

GAUGE
36 sts and 18 rows to 4” / 10cm in pattern and blocked
To make a swatch CO 39 and work the written directions or chart.

SKILLS USED IN LAS CRUCES
• Alternating Cable Cast On
• Left and right leaning double decreases
• Increasing by knitting multiple times into the same st
• Slipped Stitches
• Changing colors
• Carrying yarn up the side of work
• Binding off mid row and then cast on again
