Kami Kamagari Tunnel — Printable Hand-Painted Artwork
Weaving down the curving Tobishima Kaido road off the coast of Kure in Hiroshima, hopping from island to island, crossing bridge after bridge over the Seto Inland Sea, you get to see some of the absolute best of Japan. These old concrete tunnels are common throughout Hiroshima, and seeing one open up to the glittering crystal-blue sea compelled me to take a snapshot and make a painting out of it. This watercolor painting conveys the adventure and incomparable beauty of that trip along that island chain drenched in the fragrance of orange and paulownia blossoms.
