Sedes Sapientiae Gothic notebook
This journal features a full-page illumination from a 13th-century Sarum Missal, one of the great surviving liturgical treasures of the English Middle Ages.The Virgin and Child enthroned as Sedes Sapientiae, the Throne of Wisdom. Set against a gold ground and framed by rich Marian blue, the image presents Mary as the living throne of the Incarnate Word. A kneeling cleric at her feet is in adoration. The back cover reproduces a page from the Mass for Pentecost.
