Soft, open lace panels sweep like moonbeams along a graceful curve, alternating with bands of reverse stockinette. Cast on with just a few stitches at one corner, the shawl rapidly increases along the top edge to form a modern, wearable wrap that can be styled in dozens of ways. The lace is worked from a single chart that can be repeated as many times as desired, making it easy to customize size; a simple, stretchy bind-off forms soft scallops at the bottom. The lush, romantic drape contrasted with contemporary minimalism is reminiscent of the subtle tension present in Gabriel Faure’s Clair de Lune.

Pattern has been tech edited and tested.
