New Zealand City Rain Ambiences
In a peaceful residential area near Mount Albert, Auckland, I set out to record the soothing sounds of a rainy day. Surrounded by trees and bushes, our apartment offered a natural soundscape enriched by birdsong, gentle wind, and the varied ambiences of rain hitting different surfaces.
This collection blends moments of light drizzle with heavier showers, rain dripping on leaves and branches, tapping against a plastic-covered terrace, and splashing onto the concrete entrance road. The combination of natural and man-made surfaces creates a rich, layered rain ambience, perfect for film, game audio, or ambient sound design.
