The Cloud Dragon features a low-sew amigurumi dragon pattern in the “sploot” position! This design is part of Sweet Softies’ Sploot Series, where the animal doll lays with its belly flat on the floor and limbs outstretched. It’s a whimsically cute “superman” pose that makes these amigurumi perfect desk buddies! This stuffed dragon is relatively fast and easy to work up, and it is almost completely no-sew except to attach the wings to the body. It is designed using super bulky weight 6 plush chenille velvet yarn to achieve a soft and cuddly result, but thinner yarns of different fibers can be used as well! This splooting dragon is huggable, darling, and will surely be loved by those who adore fantasy creatures! Make it as a birthday gift, Christmas holiday present, or hot sellers for craft fairs and markets.

Super bulky weight 6 chenille velvet yarn in two colors (I used Hobbii Toucan yarn)

5mm crochet hook

16mm colored plastic safety eyes (x2)

Fiberfill stuffing

Yarn needle

FO = fasten off

YO = yarn over

ch = chain

sl st = slip stitch

sc = single crochet

hdc = half double crochet

inc = increase / insert 2 sc in the same st

dec = decrease / sc 2 sts together

BLO = back loops only

MC = main color (yarn)
