Feather Bookmark

Have you heard the saying - "put a feather in your cap" ? I'm old, so I have, if you're younger, you might not have a Scooby Doo what I'm on about.

Basically it means getting recognition for doing something well & the saying comes from back in the day when Knights of Old were given plumes, for bravery, and put them in the helmets of their armour, to let other Knights (and those fair maidens) know how big and brave they were.

(No, I wasn't around then, I am not that old - I just know random stuff)

Anyhoo (I do have a point, and I'm getting to it) given the now fast pace of life, how much time reading consumes and the fact that we book lovers organise our busy schedules to fit reading in, I think we deserve a little recognition for absorbing the knowledge that books have to offer.

But, instead of putting one in your cap - you can now put a feather in your book.

(See, I told you I had a point.)

The feather bookmark, will not only mark where you've got to in your book, but it'll look damn good doing it!

The metal components are antique gold in colour and I selected golden coloured beads to embelish it.  Each of the beads is different, but all are faceted so that they make most of their glorious colour, by catching and reflecting the light.

The Feather Bookmark has some weight to it (all the better to make sure it won't fall out of your book) and is approx 4 1/2 inches long, with the beaded dangle being roughly 1 3/4 inches, and is designed to sit along the outside spine of your book., while the golden feather will keep your place as it fits snuggly between the pages.

The perfect present (to give or keep) for any book lover/reading addict.
