Pastoral Counseling Preparation & Follow-Up Pack

Prepare Intentionally. Counsel Biblically. Follow Up Faithfully.

Pastoral counseling conversations often happen when people are facing difficult decisions, personal struggles, family concerns, spiritual questions, or times of crisis. In those moments, a little preparation and intentional follow-up can make a meaningful difference.

The MinistryForge Pastoral Counseling Preparation & Follow-Up Pack gives pastors and ministry leaders a simple 3-page system for preparing before a counseling conversation, recording appropriate ministry notes and next steps, and keeping follow-up responsibilities from being forgotten.

What's Included

1. Pastoral Counseling Preparation Sheet

Prepare before the meeting by considering the person's situation, primary concerns, biblical principles and Scriptures, important questions to explore, and the desired direction for the conversation.

2. Counseling Session Notes & Next Steps

Record the main concerns discussed, biblical counsel and Scripture shared, commitments or action steps, recommended resources, prayer needs, and your follow-up plan.

3. Pastoral Counseling Follow-Up Tracker

Keep upcoming follow-up needs visible without placing unnecessary confidential counseling details in a general tracking document.
