SHORT DESCRIPTION

Get students using English from the first five minutes. Choose from 30 reusable warm-ups with 90 ready-to-use prompt sets, editable classroom slides, complete teacher notes and a quick activity selector. For teenagers and adults at A1-A2, with beginner support and B1 extensions.

FULL DESCRIPTION

A useful lesson starter should be easy to choose and clear to run. 30 ESL Warm-Ups gives you a bank of short activities for speaking practice, vocabulary recall, grammar review and listening to a partner.

Open the activity, choose set A, B or C, model it briefly and start the pairs. Each activity has a five-minute sequence that includes instructions, a demonstration, turn changes and feedback. The three sets are alternatives for different lessons, so you can reuse a familiar format with fresh content.

Try Mystery Picture, Finish the Sentence, Word Association, Quick Debate, Three Things, Guess My Word, This or That, One-Minute Talk and Question Roulette, alongside 21 other distinct formats. The pack also includes precise before-and-after scenes, hidden drawing targets and illustrated memory boards.

The teacher guide supplies scripts, worked examples, all prompt sets, answer keys, sentence frames, vocabulary support, easier variations, B1 extensions and small- and large-class adaptations. A four-week rotation shows how to reuse selected structures with different supplied sets.

WHO IT IS FOR

ESL teachers working with teenagers aged 12+ and adults. The main level is A1-A2, with a supported beginner route and a B1 extension for every activity. Some reasoning and grammar tasks suit A2 more naturally. Use the stated easier version when needed.

CLASSROOM REQUIREMENTS

A board or classroom display and a timer. Standard use needs no compulsory printing, internet connection, student phone or paid app. Describe and Draw uses ordinary pens and paper, with an oral alternative. Every activity includes a board-only route. Designed mainly for pairs, with adaptations for small groups and classes of approximately 12-40.

FILES AND EDITING

PowerPoint and Word files are editable. Use software that can open PPTX and DOCX. PDF versions preserve the fixed layout. The pack uses DejaVu Sans; check wrapping if another font is substituted. This is a digital resource, with no physical item included.
