What to actually do when anxiety is so bad that driving, working or just getting through the day feels impossible, and nothing you’ve tried has helped.

YOU KNOW THE FEELING:

  • You're sitting in the driveway with your heart pounding, wondering if you can actually make the drive today.
  • You're at work, counting the minutes, just trying to hold it together until you can leave.
  • You're lying on the sofa, watching something you enjoy, feeling completely fine — and then out of nowhere your body is buzzing, your stomach drops, and the anxiety hits for no reason at all.
  • Or it never left. It's just always there. That constant low-level hum you can't switch off.

WHY THE USUAL ADVICE OFTEN FALLS FLAT

You've tried what people suggest: breathing exercises, journaling, yoga, mindfulness, gratitude lists! Maybe it helped for five minutes - then the anxiety was right back.

And if one more person tells you to hum, gargle, or take a cold shower to "stimulate your vagus nerve"?! The vagus nerve IS important but those things are far too weak for the level of anxiety you're dealing with.

You're not broken and you're not losing your mind. Your nervous system is stuck in survival mode and you haven't been given tools powerful enough to match what you're dealing with!

COURSE STRUCTURE

Most anxiety advice starts with find the root cause. And it's good advice - and the course will touch on this. However, if getting through a car journey or a shift at work feels like survival then you need something that helps NOW! That's why this course is structured as Rescue → Recover → Rebuild:

🚨 Phase 1: RESCUE — When anxiety is high and you need it to come down

A menu of practical, body-first tools taking into account the different types of anxiety. Whether it is constant high anxiety, situational, body led or panic.

🔧 Phase 2: RECOVER — Calming the nervous system at a deeper level

This section covers more powerful options that can retrain the nervous system over time. One modality is so powerful that some people can only start with 60 seconds at a time. So these go way beyond standard anxiety discussions. The course explains what they are, how they work, and how to access them.

Supplements and medication

This section also includes a sleep and anxiety supplements guide (and 1 medication), including any cautions where some can make anxiety worse for some, so you can make informed decisions rather than guessing.

🔍 Phase 3: REBUILD — Finding what might be driving anxiety

This section gives you a map of potential underlying or contributing factors, so you know where to look next, if you want to go deeper. There are factors that commonly drive anxiety that GPs don't always routinely test for. Or to let you know that even when tests are done they can be limited panels that don't give you a full understanding.

The aim is that you finish this section with a clearer sense of which areas may be worth investigating for your pattern.

Workplace support and disability protections for anxiety

Short overview of potential rights in the workplace if anxiety is affecting your ability to work, including reasonable adjustments that may be available to you.

WHY I MADE THIS

I created Nervous System CPR because I kept seeing the same thing: people saying they have anxiety but don’t know what to do.

I’ve been through panic disorder, body-led anxiety and health anxiety. I spent 18 months with a psychologist and it didn’t touch the anxiety. I’ve had the medication in my bag just in case. I’ve sat in places counting the minutes until I could leave.

I don’t suffer from anxiety anymore, but this is the course I wish I’d had. I built it from what I’ve seen actually work for myself and for the people I’ve supported.

This course is educational and is not a replacement for medical advice. If you are in crisis, please contact your local emergency services or crisis support line.
