The Joseph Smith Version (JSV) is an attempt to produce a text as close to what Joseph Smith approved as possible while also providing modern verses so modern saints can easily find references quoted in the many thousands of publications that use that versification -- a version modern saints can use both for daily readings and for historical reference.

The JSV also records and explores textual changes made during Joseph’s lifetime to allow readers the opportunity of reading a Joseph-approved text while also observing and analyzing changes he made.
