She Rescues Herself

A free course for women who have been carrying something for a long time and have not been able to put it down.

Written for a woman who is tired. Short pieces, read in any order, nothing locked and nothing scheduled. Free, all of it, with nothing held back for a paid version.

Is this for you

Probably, if any of these are familiar.

  • You have been going round the same decision for a long time and cannot move on it
  • You keep asking yourself whether what happened to you was bad enough to count
  • The money is the wall, and you have never actually looked at the numbers
  • You have already left and it has not settled
  • You are worried about how someone would react if you changed something

It is not a programme you complete. Most women read two or three pieces, skip the rest, and come back to them in a year or not at all. That is a legitimate way to do this.

What it is, and what it is not

It is education and self-directed practice, written by Bel, an integrated wellness practitioner. That is genuinely useful and it is not the same as treatment.

It is not therapy, not counselling and not a crisis service. It cannot know your situation, so nothing in it is personal advice about your relationship, your health, your legal position or your money. There are several points in the course where it hands you over to a specialist, because that is the honest thing to do.

You do not have to open the course to get those numbers. They are here.

000 in an emergency.

DVConnect Womensline, 1800 811 811. Queensland, 24 hours.

1800RESPECT, 1800 737 732. National, 24 hours. Text 0458 737 732, or online chat and video call at 1800respect.org.au.

National Debt Helpline, 1800 007 007. Free financial counselling, weekdays 9.30am to 4.30pm.

Calls and texts to 1800RESPECT can appear on an itemised phone bill unless your provider hides them. Online chat does not show on a bill but leaves traces on the device. The Safety First module covers how to work around that.

It is free

All of it, with nothing held back for a paid version. It was written to be given away.

Payhip will ask for an email address and a password, because that is how it keeps the course in your account. If someone monitors your phone, your email or your accounts, that is worth thinking about first. The numbers above work without any of this, and the Safety First module explains how to work around it.
