Unchained: Healing the Trauma Still Living in Us
What if some of the thoughts, behaviors, relationship patterns, and survival strategies we experience today are connected to wounds that began long before we were born?
Unchained: Healing the Trauma Still Living in Us is a powerful masterclass that explores the lasting impact of the trauma of slavery and how historical and generational trauma can continue to influence us today.
In this Masterclass, Ursula Rice, LCSW, draws from her clinical experience, cultural awareness, historical understanding, and spiritual perspective to help participants examine the ways trauma can be carried across generations and expressed through our thoughts, emotions, relationships, identity, and patterns of survival.
You will be invited to explore questions such as:
- How can historical trauma continue to affect generations after the original experience?
- What survival patterns may have been passed down through families and communities?
- How can trauma influence the way we see ourselves and others?
- What roles and behaviors may have developed as ways of surviving?
- How do boundaries, identity, self-worth, and relationships connect to healing?
- What does it mean to recognize inherited patterns without allowing them to define who you are?
This Masterclass is not simply about understanding the past. It is about creating awareness of how the past may still be showing up in the present—and recognizing that awareness can become the beginning of change.
Through therapeutic insight, reflection, historical context, and spiritual exploration, Unchained encourages you to look more deeply at what has been carried forward, identify patterns that may no longer serve you, and begin the process of reclaiming your voice, identity, and sense of self.
Healing begins with awareness. Freedom begins when we recognize what has been holding us.
Come explore what it means to become Unchained.
