Lagom is the sweater I’m reaching for this winter when I want to look sophisticated and feel cozy.

Its beauty lies in its simplicity.

For a balance of cozy and chic, this sweater features a relaxed funnel neck worked without short row shaping. The collar drapes across the mid-neck, unlike a traditional turtleneck for a casual, polished style.

The minimal embellishment of a loosely braided cable allows the silhouette of this sweater to stand out.

Construction

Lagom is knit seamlessly from the top down with a hybrid of saddle shoulder yoke increases and drop shoulder construction. The boatneck neckline begins with a ribbed funnel neck which hits at mid-neck. The collar is cast on and worked in 1x1 rib before increasing for the yoke. Sweater front and back are split and worked flat to sleeve depth before joining the body to work in the round. Sleeves are picked up and knit downward with options for either a wide or fitted cuff. Hem and cuffs are finished with 1x1 rib and tubular bind off.

Selecting A Size

Lagom is intended to be worn with 4-6” / 10-15 cm of positive ease. Select a size 4-6" / 10-15 cm larger than your chest circumference. Measurements below are for the finished sweater after blocking. Samantha wears size 5 with + 6” / 15 cm of positive ease and is 5’6” / 167.5 cm tall.
