Beautiful, textured shawl, combining three colors. The shawl is worked in bias from cast on tip to the bind off row, increasing stitches at the beginning of right side rows.
The pattern includes a photo tutorial for the Diagonal stitch.

Width across top edge (wingspan): 68” / 173 cm
Depth: 32” / 81 cm

YARN:  
Manos del Uruguay Alpaca Heather (70 % Wool, 30 % Alpaca; 328 yds / 300 m per 100 g for MC, 164 yds / 150 m per 50 g for C1 and C2).
Please note that MC comes in 100g skeins but C1 and C2 come in 50 g skeins.
You’ll need approximately:
2 skeins (200 g) MC, shown in color H703 Grey
1 skein (50 g) C1, shown in color H2446 Petrol
2 skeins (100 g) C2, shown in color H2222 Honeycomb
or the same amounts of sportweight yarn.

NEEDLES AND NOTIONS:
Size US 6 / 4 mm needles,
size US 7 / 4.5 mm needles (Diagonal stitch sections are worked with larger needles)
row counter,
tapestry needle.

GAUGE:
21 sts and 30 rows in Stockinette stitch with smaller needles, washed and blocked = 4” / 10 cm.
Gauge is not crucial for this project but will affect the amount of yarn used and the final size of the
shawl.
