On a humanitarian mission in the Middle East, Miss Caz Hibis, daughter of the commander of the British Troops, finds herself under bombing and taken by resistance fighters to a remote destination. Overnight she learns that a young Muslim girl, an heir to land in the region, has been kidnapped by enemy collaboration forces, to be sold in a trafficking operation. Along with the fighters, she embarks on a deadly journey to rescue the girl, Jasmil.

The English Woman and the Jihadist is a 'from the ground' take on life from the perspectives of both fighters and civilians in the war-zone, and includes personal journal entries written by fighters between battles.

While the story is fictitious, the events echo common scenarios experienced during wars in the region.
