Lady’s 8ply plaited cable jacket – Natalie

This jacket has set in sleeves and a round neck. There are 12 rows to the cable pattern, with cable stitches only being worked on two of these rows. It has a narrow Left Front and the Right Front wraps across the body. The jacket is fastened by three press studs at the left shoulder.

 

The plaited cable pattern in this jacket matches my Holly plaited cable beanie and the beanie pattern covers sizes 2 years to Lady.

 

Pattern sizes: S (M-L-XL).

 

To fit bust: 80 (90-100-110) cm [31½ (35½-39½-43¼) ins].

 

Garment measures: 89 (103-110-123) cm [35 (40½-43¼-48½) ins].

 

Yarn required: 16 (19-20-23) balls Cleckheaton Country 8ply, 50g balls@96m.

 

Needles required: A pair of 4.00mm [UK 8, US 6] knitting needles.

Wool needle for sewing up.

 

Also required: A cable needle; 2 stitch holders; 3 press studs.

 

Tension: 35 sts and 30 rows to 10cm [4 ins] over patt, using 4.00mm needles.
