Senior year comes with a lot of decisions—and the college application process can quickly become overwhelming for students and families.
Where should we apply? Are we missing a deadline? Is the Common App complete? What should go in the activities section? Is the essay ready to submit?
Beyond High School™ Comprehensive College Application Support provides personalized, one-on-one support to help students move through the process with a clear plan and a knowledgeable professional in their corner.
Students stay at the center of the process. My role is to help them understand each step, make thoughtful decisions, stay on track, and submit applications they feel confident about—while keeping families informed and equipped to support them along the way.
What’s Included in Comprehensive Support
- 60-minute College Application Strategy Session — assess where the student is, review their college list and deadlines, and create an individualized application plan.
- Two 45-minute Individual Advising Sessions — use these where they're needed most: Common App, activities section, college selection, application questions, deadlines, etc.
- Common App Review & Support — guidance completing the major sections and identifying anything that needs attention.
- Personal Statement/College Essay Review — feedback on one primary essay, including up to two rounds of feedback.
- Final Application Review — one final review before applications are submitted to help catch missing information or areas needing attention.
- Digital College Planning Tools — access to the Beyond High School™ College Application Kickstart Kit, including the Common App Guide, College Decision Maker, Scholarship Tracker, and other application-planning resources.
- Between-Session Email Support — brief college planning and application-related questions between advising sessions throughout the service period.

Beyond High School™ Comprehensive College Application Support is designed for Class of 2027 students and families who want personalized support navigating the college application process. Students do not need to have everything figured out before getting started—we’ll begin wherever they are in the process.

I bring more than 25 years of experience in education, including 11 years as a high school English teacher and more than 14 years as a high school counselor. I’m also a doctoral student in Counselor Education and Supervision. My experience supporting students with college planning, applications, and writing allows me to provide knowledgeable, student-centered support throughout the application process.

Yes. I have extensive experience supporting students with IEPs, 504 Plans, and a variety of learning needs. Support may include:
- Identify colleges that fit their academic and support needs
- Explore disability/accessibility services at colleges they're considering
- Consider support needs as part of determining overall college fit.

Yes. Parents are welcome and encouraged to participate in advising sessions. My approach is student-centered and family-inclusive: students are supported in taking ownership of their college application process while parents remain informed and equipped to support them along the way.

We’ll begin with a 60-minute College Application Strategy Session to assess where the student is in the process, review their college list and upcoming deadlines, identify priorities, and create an individualized plan for moving forward.

The two 45-minute sessions can be used where the student needs the most support, including:
- Navigating the Common App
- Refining the college list
- Working through the activities section
- Reviewing deadlines and application requirements
- Addressing other application-related needs.

I will not write an essay for a student or change it into my voice. Students receive feedback designed to help strengthen their own writing while preserving their ideas, experiences, and authentic voice. Comprehensive support includes feedback on one primary essay with up to two rounds of review.

Additional advising sessions and essay/application reviews may be purchased separately as needed. This allows families to add support without having to purchase another comprehensive package.

Comprehensive College Application Support begins when you enroll and continues through February 1, 2027. Included advising sessions, application and essay reviews, and between-session email support must be used during this service period. Unused sessions and reviews do not roll over beyond the service period.

Advising sessions are held virtually via Google Meet. After purchasing, you’ll receive instructions for getting started and scheduling your initial 60-minute College Application Strategy Session. A Google Meet link will be provided when you schedule. We’ll schedule your remaining advising sessions together after the initial strategy session so we can plan them around your student’s individual needs and application timeline.

No. College admission decisions are made by individual institutions, and no college advisor can guarantee admission. My role is to help students submit thoughtful, complete applications that accurately represent their experiences, strengths, and goals.
