Spanish Speaking & Conversation Class- Upper Beginner (A1+)

NOT SUITABLE FOR COMPLETE BEGINNERS – Some previous Spanish knowledge required

Already know some Spanish but want to improve your speaking confidence?

Our weekly 30-minute Spanish conversation sessions are designed for upper beginners (A1+) who already have a basic understanding of Spanish but want more opportunities to practice speaking in a relaxed, friendly environment!

This class is ideal if you've previously studied a little Spanish, can form basic sentences and understand simple conversations, but would like to become more confident speaking.

These sessions run straight after our regular Spanish A1+ course, so some students will be continuing from their main lesson. However, you don't need to be enrolled on the main course to join!

What will we cover?

Real-life focus: Talking about your hobbies, opinions, home and everyday life.

Each week, we'll focus on putting your Spanish into practice through interactive speaking activities and realistic conversations, including:

• Present tense verbs – Practising regular verb conjugations and using them naturally in conversation.
• Giving and justifying opinions – Expressing what you like, dislike and prefer, and explaining why.
• Hobbies and free time – Talking about your interests, activities and what you enjoy doing.
• Describing where you live – Discussing your house, neighbourhood, town and local area.
• Getting around a town or city – Asking for and giving directions, discussing places and navigating everyday situations.
• Everyday conversations – Using familiar vocabulary and grammar to ask questions, respond and keep a conversation going.

The focus is on speaking rather than written exercises, helping you use the Spanish you already know more naturally and confidently.

• 30 minutes of dedicated Spanish speaking practice every week.

• Opportunities to practise grammar and vocabulary you've previously learnt.
• A friendly, supportive environment where mistakes are part of learning!
