The Rows That Don’t End | A Hearthside Study
A 12-page individual Bible study about patient faithfulness, costly gratitude, and the wisdom to look closely.
Blueberry bushes taught me patience.
Arlington taught me gratitude.
The Rows That Don’t End begins with childhood summers picking blueberries alongside my mother, where the rows seemed endless and the bucket filled slowly. Years later, walking among the white stones at Arlington brought a different kind of attention—to individual names, lives, and sacrifices. From these two experiences comes a deeper question—what might change if we slowed down enough to recognize the work, gifts, and responsibilities before us?
Rooted in Galatians 6:9 and Psalm 90:12, this Hearthside Study considers perseverance in well doing, God’s timing, and the wisdom of receiving our days as something entrusted to us. It explores small progress, honest weariness, gratitude that becomes stewardship, and taking the next faithful step when we cannot yet see the end of the row.
Inside the 12-page designed PDF, you’ll find the original The Rows That Don’t End essay, Scripture readings and context, eight guided study and reflection questions, personal reflection prompts, a closing prayer and application, and space for notes. The study can be worked through quietly on your own or shared informally with others around a table.
