Somme toute

Somme toute est un bonnet réalisé au crochet tunisien double (à deux têtes, deux becs). Il se fait sans couture, en rond, du haut de la couronne à la bordure frontale, de préférence avec 2 couleurs bien contrastées (2 couleurs unies ou 1 couleur unie associée à un fil gradient, bariolé ou de multiples couleurs). Le motif est réversible: les 2 côtés du bonnet offrent une texture et un motif intéressant.

Dimensions finales
Circonférence: environ 55 cm (21,5”) - Des indications sont fournies dans le patron pour faire une couronne plus grande.
Hauteur: 25 cm (10”) - également adaptable.

Niveau de difficulté: intermédiaire - Ce patron n’est pas particulièrement complexe mais il requiert une bonne connaissance des techniques de base du crochet tunisien et en particulier l’usage d’un crochet à deux têtes pour travailler en spirale.

Fournitures à prévoir:

• un crochet tunisien double (à 2 têtes, 2 becs)
• un anneau marqueur ouvrable
• Fil recommandé: fil pas trop fin (heavy fingering) ou sport - Le modèle présenté est réalisé avec le fil Ulysse de De Rerum Natura.

Somme toute (Altogether) is a beanie made with a double-ended Tunisian crochet hook. It is made seamlessly from the top down in the round with 2 different colors. The design is reversible: both “public” and “private” sides show an equally interesting texture. It is recommended to use 2 contrasting colors (2 solid colors or 1 solid color combined with a gradient/variegate/color-changing yarn).

Finished dimensions:
Circumference: about 55 cm (21.5”) - Indications are provided in the pattern to make a bigger crown if desired. Height: 25 cm (10”) - also adaptable.

Skill level: Intermediate – Though this pattern is not complex, it requires good knowledge of Tunisian crochet and the use of a double-ended hook (how to work in a spiral). 

Materials needed:

• Tunisian double-ended crochet hook - recommended size for suggested yarn : 5,5 mm (I-9)
• 1 locking stitch marker
• Recommended yarn: heavy fingering or sport weight yarn. The model shown is made in Ulysse from De Rerum Natura.
