The wind sweeps through the valley and races down the sides of the mountains bringing with it the snows of winter. As I walk through the valley my eyes can’t help but be drawn upwards to where the mountain peaks meet the sky.

This pattern is inspired by the Sierra Nevada mountain range, which borders the western edge of the valley where I grew up. These are the mountains of my childhood and seeing them always brings me comfort.

This hat is perfect for those cold days where the wind rushes past you. The bulky yarn makes it perfect for winter.

The hat is worked in the round from the brim up.

Pattern includes options to work either from a chart or written directions.
