The Third Eye of Shiva by Jon Aristides

"The Third Eye of Shiva" is the latest collection of short stories from fantasy writer Jon Aristides. In his first two books, "The Mask of Priam" and "The Black Scarab of Amun-Ra," Aristides gave us some compelling horror and fantasy--and there is plenty of the usual edge-of-the-seat stuff in "The Third Eye of Shiva" (such as "The Soul of Lizzie Parker" and the title story itself). However, in this latest collection, Aristides demonstrates his unique sense of the absurd as never before and in a story like "The Plastification of Gerald Harrison" there is a fine line drawn between horror and the blackest of black humor.
