Pickett is Bowtruckle that was kept by Newt Scamander as a pet. Newt was especially fond of Pickett, and even carried him around in his top pocket, first because Pickett had a cold and needed body warmth, and also because Pickett had attachment issues. If you’ve seen Fantastic Beasts, you know this cute little creature has saved Newt many times by picking locks! Who wants a bowtruckle?
This is a FITTED hat as written. Suggestions for how to adjust for fit included.
You will need about 140 yards of yarn (average was 120-140).
Skill level: Intermediate

Light Bulky yarn: Approximately 140 yds
ie. WAK Petite Wool, Patons Alpaca Blend, Malabrigo Mecha (2), Lion Brand Scarfie
US 7/ 4.5mm 16” circular needles OR US 6/ 4mm 16” circular needles for tighter brim
US 10.5/ 6.5mm 16” circular needles and/or dpns
*Stitch marker *Cable needle (optional) *Tapestry needle *Scissors
