A TradeStation Workflow Utility for Cycling Charts, Exporting Strategy Performance, and Reviewing Multi-Market Results

TS-ChartCycler is a companion workflow tool for TradeStation users who work with multi-market strategies, portfolio testing, and repeated chart review.

Instead of manually changing symbols one at a time, TS-ChartCycler helps automate the chart-cycling workflow using a simple symbol list file. The installer creates the helper folders needed by the included TradeStation workspaces and strategies, and it also includes the Excel macro workbook used to review exported performance results.

TS-ChartCycler is especially useful for traders who want to review multiple symbols, run portfolio-style workflows, or prepare performance exports for further analysis.

Installer-Created Folders

The installer creates the following folders:

C:\TS-ChartCycler  

C:\TS-PortfolioBatch  

C:\TS-PM-Output  

C:\TS-ChartCycler contains the installed files, manuals, .ELD files, Excel workbook, and example workspaces.

C:\TS-PortfolioBatch and C:\TS-PM-Output are helper folders used by the included TradeStation strategies and workspaces. A default symbolList.txt file is placed in both helper folders.

How It Works

After installation, import the included .ELD files into TradeStation. Then apply TS-ChartCycler to the desired chart or workspace and make sure the strategy input points to the proper symbol list file, such as:

C:\TS-PM-Output\symbolList.txt

The symbolList.txt file can be edited with Notepad. Enter one TradeStation symbol per line.

The included Excel workbook, TS-CSV_PerformanceReportViewer.xlsm, is a macro-enabled report viewer designed to help load and review exported CSV performance files.

Important Notes

The included TradeStation workspaces are provided as convenience examples. Workspaces created in one version of TradeStation may not open correctly in older versions. If a workspace does not open, import the included .ELD files and create a new workspace manually in your version of TradeStation.

The Excel workbook requires macros to be enabled. If Excel displays a security warning, enable content only if you downloaded the software directly from GeorgePruitt.com, PayHip, or a link personally provided by George Pruitt.
