This eBook is more than just my story; it is the story of countless individuals who have fought to be heard in a healthcare system that often dismisses their pain. Through raw storytelling and documented experiences, I shine a light on the harsh realities of medical gaslighting and the deep emotional and physical toll it takes on both patients and their families. Some did not make it through this journey, their voices silenced by a system that failed to listen. I am here to be their voice, speaking up for those who were unheard and advocating for the change we need in healthcare.

But this journey is not just about the struggle—it is also about healing. Healing does not come easily after years of being unheard, misdiagnosed, and neglected. It requires strength, perseverance, faith, and a support system that believes in you even when doctors do not.

A Rare Insight: Exclusive excerpts from my son and mother, who share their firsthand experiences of watching me suffer, feeling helpless, and fighting alongside me. Their words offer a poignant look at the ripple effect of chronic illness—not just on the patient, but on the entire family.

This book is for anyone seeking to understand the realities of medical gaslighting, its devastating effects, and the power of advocacy. Whether you are a patient, caregiver, or healthcare professional, my hope is that this story touches your heart, opens your eyes, and ignites the change we so desperately need in healthcare.

She Spoke So Others Wouldn’t Suffer Alone – A Review of Tamika Smith’s Story

I read this book the other day while getting a pedicure. Once I started, I couldn’t put it down.

Tamika Smith’s eBook on medical gaslighting is raw, powerful, and deeply personal. I could feel her pain through every word—it’s heartfelt and eye-opening. Her courage in sharing her story gives a voice to so many who have suffered in silence.

I hope that anyone going through medical gaslighting thinks of Tamika and knows they are not alone. Please don’t stay silent—speak up if you feel you’re not being heard or receiving proper care. No one should have to fight to be believed, especially when it comes to their health. If you’re experiencing mistreatment by your doctors, know that support is out there and you deserve to be treated with respect and dignity.

Very relatable, informative read!!

I read this book in one sitting. Very informative and relatable. Also very honest. It touched on points everyday women deal with in relations to our healthcare needs and symptoms we may have but are afraid to say out loud. I Have been dealing with certain issues myself so this book really hits home and gave me a boost of confidence to SPEAK UP for myself.

Touching Story

Tamika thank you for sharing your story. As a medical professional I’m embarrassed that you went through this. You were severely dismissed and not taken seriously. My God I’m so ashamed even though it wasn’t me involved in your care! I know my colleagues dropped the ball on your healthcare. This is never ok for humans no matter the race, religion or socioeconomic status. Medical gas lighting is diabolical. You should’ve not been dismissed for so long,Yet you kept pushing and knew that it wasn’t all in your head. I know your story will touch someone who is going through the same or similar. Thank you for being a voice for the voiceless. God kept you, God get the Glory for your story.

The Things We Have Been Scared to Say

This eBook is powerful. It brings awareness on what many of us have endured in the healthcare system. It speaks to the harm caused by doctors who’ve forgotten their “why” and the importance of compassion. Medical gaslighting takes a toll in many ways.

There’s no name-dropping or hospital bashing. It’s filled with awareness, and a much-needed eye-opener. This conversation is long overdue. Thank you Tamika for being so vulnerable. This eBook is #1.
